The Process In order to find out which province you think is the best in Canada, you will need to have some background knowledge first. You will be responsible for knowing the following information about your province of choice:
You should gather your information in a Word document and submit it to your teacher after your presentation of the CBC producers. You should write 2-3 paragraphs about the province that you choose. When you present to the producers, use this document to guide your discussion about your province of choice. You can use the following websites to gather your information:
You can find further information by looking at the Statistics Canada website: http://www.statscan.ca This lesson will require approx. 5-6 lesson periods to complete, including 3 periods in the computer lab. The teacher should be knowledgeable about Canadian provinces and prepared to answer -- or direct students where to find an answer -- questions about each province. Before the lesson begins, the teacher should ensure that students have sufficient computer skills to complete the task. Teacher should be prepared to give students suggestions on where to look and for what.
